Tournament Rules, Regulations and Guidelines

The tournament rules set forth the policies, procedures, and rules by which all participating teams will abide by in their preparation and participation for the Junior All Native Basketball Tournament (JANT) and Spring Basketball Fest.

BC JR. ALL NATIVE BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT RULES | The Jr All Native 17U Provincial Championships are the Provincial sport event for BC First Nations basketball community. Each spring break, First Nations teams comprised of high school/middle school athletes at the 17U age groups, competes for the First Nation Provincial Championship title while representing their Home, Nation and Community.

13U and 10U SPRING BASKETBALL FEST RULES | The Spring Basketball Fest is an All-Native Provincial Basketball Tournament being held in conjunction with the 2025 Jr All Native Basketball Tournament. The purpose of the tournament is to develop young athletes, promote community pride, and develop the game of basketball.

Opening Ceremonies

The Opening Ceremonies for the Jr. All Native Basketball Tournament (JANT) will be held at the UBC Okanagan Campus. Due to the massive increase in teams and limited venue capacity, the ceremonies will be exclusive to coaches, players, and designated guests. We kindly ask all the other supporters to join us for a viewing party and BBQ in the UBC Okanagan Courtyard, where the ceremony will be streamed live on a large outdoor screen as the players parade through into opening ceremonies!

Tune into our @2025JANT Instagram to have the chance to win tickets to the Opening Ceremonies. We encourage families, fans, and spectators to come support their team during the parade and Viewing Party. Bring your Nation’s flags, team banners, signs, pom-poms, or anything festive to show your team spirit as we kick off JANT! Let’s make it a vibrant and exciting atmosphere for everyone!
